Broker's Comments
A really lovely Westerly Merlin that has been cruised extensively and upgraded even more so. These Merlins are much loved for the huge amount of boat they offer the owner for just 28ft of coastal cruiser. A safe deep cockpit, large saloon and the reliability and sturdiness at sea that is almost legendary at this stage.
This one is a bit special in that she has seen constant improvement throughout the last decade. The highlights of the re-fit between 2006 and 2011 are the 2008 Beta 25hp engine, gearbox, shaft and prop ... the Tacktick nav package, standing rigging, jabsco heads, wiring, headlining, furler ... the list is rather extensive and I think sets her apart from many of her peers currently on the market.
The new owner will have very little to do on this fin-keeler except perhaps they may wish to refresh the deck paint and then proudly join the Westerly Owners Club.
She makes a very inviting all-round family cruiser and looks to be in really great condition throughout.
