Broker's Comments
This lovely Excalibur is one of the timeless classic long- distance cruisers designed by the renowned E.G. Van de Stadt and is very seriously for sale. A recent survey report talks almost reverentially about the methods of construction used in these boats ... not only are they built with exceptional quality but they are well known for a surprising turn of speed, particularly going to windward.
Past owners of this boat have clearly maintained her to a high standard, but kudos goes to the current owners who have professionally re-built the Perkins engine and amongst many other items they have renewed the standing rigging.
She really is a beautiful go-anywhere classic cruiser, and she completely belies her age.
Her new owners may decide to add some small comforts like cabin heating if heading to the icy north, but in all honesty - they just don't make them like this anymore.
She's a real beauty!
