Commentaires du Broker
This lovely little ship has an interesting history. At the outbreak of WWII she was requisitioned by the RAF for search and rescue and mine spotting duties, with a Lewis machine gun mounted on her bow she patrolled the coast from Whitstable to Ramsgate. She was also mentioned in the book The Battle of the East Coast 1939-45 where her record of rescues are mentioned.
Many of Whitstable’s senior citizens have asserted that she took part in the Dunkirk evacuation of 1940.
She now stands proud and looking amazing with the refit and new oak beams carried out by renowned boat builders. A mast and rig has been added that work but is mainly there to enhance her beauty.
Many devoted hours have been spent getting her back to this standard and its a wonderful sight watching the sun shine on her many varnished layers of Teak and Oak.
Buy this boat and you get style and history.
