Broker's Comments
There were 2444 of these made, so I expect you’ll all be fairly familiar with the breed! The single most successful yacht Westerly ever made!
This one is a later one – 1979, just a year before they finished production – so she has the “B” layout, with the galley on the starboard side and 5 berths.
She benefits from having had her engine removed and refurbished (v-shiny!); and more importantly she has had her keels strengthened and she was completely re-rigged and fitted with a new boom and lazy-jacks in 2011.
She has a Garmin plotter still in the box, and a hand-held VHF (complete with box).
She has an older, winter spray-hood, and her new one is stored in the forecabin to keep it nice, ready for the season. Oh- by the way, her headlinings have all been replaced so she doesn’t suffer from “Westerly droop!” Check out the photos, very smart indeed.
Well, you all know the Centaur; some are better than others, and this is a nice one; so give me a ring here at Boatshed Port Solent and we’ll get along and see her. She is ashore and ready to view.
