Broker's Comments
Hull #58 was the third last Leopard 3800 ever built by Robertson & Caine and so this will be one of the youngest versions of this excellent cruising catamaran that you will be able to find. Leopards are built in South Africa and their reputation for being robustly built is borne out by the fact that the majority are sailed straight from the factory Trans-Atlantic to the USA and Caribbean.
This Leopard has been cruised privately since its phase out from charter; a full survey report dated from 2008 is available endorsing the good condition of the yacht. A new mainsail was fitted in 2008 and the owners have invested in a new inverter, wind generator, dinghy and outboard. The refrigeration system was completely overhauled in 2009 with a new compressor and cold plates fitted to the Sea Frost system. The gas BBQ and large cockpit makes those al fresco evening dinners very simple after a relaxing day diving or snorkeling from the great swim platform.
After a fantastic 6 month adventure cruising around the Caribbean, the owners are reluctantly selling and forgoing the joys of sailing for their careers from which they have enjoyed a sabbatical. This yacht shows extremely well, is priced at a sensible level and will make the perfect cruising yacht for sailing through the islands and further afield, for those lucky enough.
