Broker's Comments
Here we have a Princess 33MK1 cruiser being offered by the vendor as a light project.
She is in original white gelcoat and was a very nice and tidy example of the type a couple of years ago when I last listed her for sale. She is now in need of some remedial work to my eye, such as new anodes and a prop being repaired as one has a slight bend in the blades.
She has a huge amount of space and is well appointed and comfortable. She offers separate forward double berth cabin a large saloon that converts to another double plus a sofa that converts to a single in the wheelhouse. She has a large heads compartment with toilet and full shower and a well fitted and very usable galley to starboard.
She will need a BSS doing as it has expired.
She offers very good accommodation for river cruising or as a live aboard.
She used to start well and run and run very nicely and quietly, and her twin Volvo Penta AQ140 engines. The current owner feels they are difficult engines which may just be down to the fact that this model has no starting choke as standard and need to be pumped into life until warm enough to idle. It is likely the carbs will need looking at if she is running awkwardly. When running well these engines are smooth and responsive. Her Volvo outdrives were last professionally serviced in Feb 2021.
Her previous owner had constantly improved the boat with new canopy and screen covers in Dec 2020, new cooker 2020, new water tank 2020, battery charger fitted 2019, diesel warm air heating fitted 2019, engine timing belts replaced 2020.
If you are looking for a what looks to me like a bargain, and a very light project that offers a roomy and well-appointed, well-built river cruiser or floating home, then this could be just the quality boat you are looking for!
