Built by Carija Yachtbuilders of Merillville, Indiana for long distance crewed racing on the Great Lakes.
Well-insulated with styrofoam between all frames. Hull and superstructure are designed to prevent water intrusion. This boat is exceptionally dry!

Broker's Comments
This sturdy aluminum sloop was built to compete in the prestigious 333 mile Chicago-Mackinac race -- the world's longest freshwater race -- and was constructed by a yachtbuilder specializing in aluminum. She features accommodations for a large crew, a very stout rig, a new mainsail, and a new diesel engine.
The seller has owned and attentively cared for the boat for 28 years.
The interior is roomy and well-lit. The owner reports that she is a very dry and warm boat, well-prepared for comfortable cruising in all weather. He purchased her for her offshore capabilities, and it's easy to see that this boat could allow her new owners to voyage anywhere safely. With a slender profile and a large, heavy fin keel she's a fast, stiff vessel that sails well to wind. This boat should be considered by anyone looking to go offshore with the integrity and strength of a real metal ship under sail.
