Broker's Comments
There are days when doing my job is just a real privilege. If I wasn't doing this I very much doubt if I would ever get the chance to step aboard such stunning examples of our nautical history.
This boat is of such class and ageless beauty that all of my pictures should have been sepia tinted not colour. The way Bekens always used to do them.
Cygnet has had many guises over the last century since her build in 1906 but is now back in her original Gaff Yawl rig which was completely replaced in 2006 along with massive strengthening of the hull and mast step to stop her literally pulling herself apart. The rig is a work of art, the bronzework is fabulous. This is a classic boat that has already collected silverware in the form of the Jubilee Cup in 2006. Don't miss this opportunity to acquire an historic yacht where all the hard work has been done. All you need to do is carry on the fine tradition of winning races and accepting the gushing compliments on her behalf.
It has been said, probably by a woman, that man should only own one wooden boat. So, in this sad instance, this one just has to go, hence the huge price reduction.
